Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng has called on the United States to resolve ongoing trade disputes with China through equal dialogue and mutually beneficial cooperation.
He made the remarks during the inaugural meeting of the China-U.S. Economic and Trade Consultation Mechanism, held from Monday to Tuesday in London.

The meeting was attended by key U.S. officials, including Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, and U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer.
Vice Premier He emphasized that China expects the United States to match its words with actions and to demonstrate sincerity in fulfilling its commitments.
“The U.S. should show genuine intent in honoring agreements and make concrete efforts to implement the consensus reached, in order to jointly safeguard the hard-earned progress of bilateral dialogue,” he stated.
