Political analyst Prince Francis Chilaka has expressed strong dissatisfaction with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar over his alleged stance on rotational presidency.
Speaking on Voice of the People TV, Mr Chilaka criticized Mr Atiku for suddenly claiming he is unaware of the power-rotation agreement, or suggesting it holds no constitutional weight.
Mr Chilaka argued that Mr Atiku, having previously benefited from the North’s eight-year tenure, is now attempting to “usurp the Southern right to the presidency.”
According to the analyst, Mr Atiku’s current political maneuvers and in-house arrangements show he is increasingly isolated within his own party.
“Atiku is actually contesting against himself,” Mr Chilaka stated, adding that other contenders like Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba face similarly bleak prospects on the ballot.
