Lagos, Nigeria — The leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has declared that Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi is not destined by God to rule Nigeria, warning that his leadership would bring massive confusion to the country.
In a recent address, Primate Ayodele stated that if Obi were to become president, Nigeria would “turn upside down triple million times,” insisting that the former Anambra State governor lacks divine backing to lead the nation.
“If Obi ruled this country, this country will turn upside down triple million times. Not triple hundred — triple million, billion times. Because God did not give the power to Obi,” Ayodele said.
The cleric further described Obi as “desperate” to become president, alleging that God has not given him the spiritual strength or mandate to govern Nigeria.
“Obi will get there, there will be confusion. He’s not the answer to Nigerians. I don’t see any O— call them obedient. They are not obedient; they are disobedient. Obi knows that he cannot be president, but he is desperate to be president,” he added.
Primate Ayodele, known for his controversial prophecies on Nigerian politics, has repeatedly stated that God did not choose Obi to lead the country, emphasizing that the “Obidient Movement” is not divinely inspired.
The cleric’s comments have since sparked reactions across social media, especially among supporters of the Labour Party, many of whom dismissed his prophecy as politically motivated.
