
Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has issued a weather forecast predicting a mix of sunshine and thunderstorms across various parts of the country from Wednesday to Friday.
In its three-day weather outlook released on Tuesday in Abuja, NiMet outlined varying weather conditions expected across the northern, central, and southern regions of Nigeria.

Wednesday Forecast

Northern Region: Predominantly sunny skies, with potential thunderstorms later in the day in southern parts of Adamawa and Taraba States.

North Central: Sunny with few clouds. Morning thunderstorms are expected in Kwara and Niger, while Kogi, Kwara, and Plateau may experience thunderstorms in the afternoon.

Southern Region: Cloudy skies in the morning with chances of thunderstorms in Oyo, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Delta, Lagos, Rivers, Cross River, and Akwa Ibom. Thunderstorms are likely later in the day in Imo, Abia, Ebonyi, Bayelsa, Rivers, Cross River, and Akwa Ibom.

NiMet warned of high temperatures across much of the country, raising concerns over heat stress. The agency urged the public to:

NiMet advised airline operators to obtain airport-specific weather reports for effective flight planning, especially in regions expected to experience strong winds ahead of thunderstorms.
