Legal practitioner Barrister Darlington has dismissed concerns over a potential political alliance between Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso, stating that Obi’s leadership style is far from power-hungry.
Speaking on Voice of the People TV about whether the duo could break Nigeria’s traditional political jinx, Barr. Darlington emphasized that Obi is a “tried and tested” leader who is willing to share power and assign significant responsibilities to his partners rather than acting as an absolute ruler.
“The Peter Obi that I know is not power-hungry; he is going to create a role for Kwankwaso,” Darlington stated. He further criticized the structure of Nigeria’s presidential system, arguing that politicians have corrupted the American democratic model they copied, creating a system dominated by individuals who want to control everything without offering real solutions.
